Der Machu Picchu ist eines der 7 Weltwunder. Nach Perú zu reisen, ohne diesen magischen Ort zu besuchen wäre, wie eine Pizza zu bestellen – aber nur die Kruste. Die 110 km lange Bahnstrecke zwischen Cusco und dem Städtchen Aguas Calientes (Pueblo Machu Picchu) gibt es bereits seit 1928 und ist die einzige Verbindung des Dorfes zur Außenwelt.

Die neuen Interrail-Länder Estland und Lettland. Zu den beliebtesten Reisezielen gehören die baltischen Hauptstädte Tallinn und Riga. Leider sind die Zugverbindungen oft nicht so toll. Ich habe es trotzdem probiert!

Mit dem Zug von Litauen nach Polen
Von Vilnius nach Warschau und wie man nicht in Kaunas strandet. Bis 2026 soll Warschau per Schienenprojekt "Rail Baltica" mit den baltischen Staaten direkt und schnell verbunden werden. Heutzutage kann es noch ein kleines Abenteuer sein, so wie mir geschehen.
