Hi guys!

We fly to Paris to start our trip in 2 weeks time and we are SO excited! We have decided to catch a train from Paris to Cologne on Saturday 3rd August. There is a train which is direct which would be easier but the reservation is expensive! There is another train that has a slightly cheaper reservation charge but it has a train change. The change also requires a reservation fee as well. If I order my reservations online from Paris to cologne, will this automatically include the train change reservation fee aswell so I pay one big fee if you like?

Thanks 8)

No, with interrail you have to do the reservation for each train. But in Germany there isn't - in general - no reservation obligation. So - if you want to safe money and if you go via mannheim, you should make reservation for TGV until Mannheim - or Strasbourg (if its cheaper - The TGV in Germany is also free of reservation obligation) and than you go to cologne without any reservation. But normaly you will get a place.
