I'm currently looking into the a trip from Berlin-Prague-Budapest-Zagreb-Split. The only problem is I have to get a Eurail select pass as my companion has a Interrail Pass.

The issue is the train between Prague and Budapest. The map shows that it goes through Slovakia instead of Austria. Slovakia isn't part of the countries that participates in the Eurail Select Pass, but Austria does. Does this mean I have to make a detour through Austria to get to Budapest? Or will I be fine travelling through Slovakia for the 4 hours I'll be within its boarders?

Thanks for the help.

Hi.
If you have to avoid Slovakia as it is not included in your Eurail pass, you have the following options:

1) First to travel Prague to Vienna (https://rail.cc/en/eurail/prague-to-vienna). Then from Vienna to Budapest (https://rail.cc/en/eurail/vienna-to-budapest).

2) Buy a point to point ticket for the direct morning train Prague to Budapest which is available from CZK 500 (~ EUR 19) as e-ticket at [ux]https://rail.shop/cd[/ux]

And please be fair and buy your Eurail pass on the recommended website - as it is not fair to buy somewhere else but to ask for free support here on railcc. Thank you. :)
