I am thinking about buying an interrail ticket for 15 days.

My plan looks like this:

Copenhagen - Berlin
Berlin - Vienna
(24 hour travel)

24 hour stay in Berlin

Vienna - Rijeka

3 days

Rijeka - Zagreb

3 days stay

Zagreb - Vienna
Vienna - Berlin
( 24 hour travel)

Berlin 24 hour stay

Berlin - Copenhagen

Is it a relistic plan?

Also if anyone have travelled these routes,
please tell me if the train goes throw any tunnels and how many minutes the train is inside the tunnel? :)
I know it's stupid, but i hate tunnels, and i would like to mentally prepare myself :P

Hi!

IMO it makes no sense to get the 15 days InterRail Pass. Get the 5in10 Flexi Pass instead to cover Berlin - Wien - Rijeka - Zagreb - Wien - Berlin; and purchase regular tickets for the way to/from Berlin via [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
This will be cheaper overall.

There are no really long tunnels on this route. The longest probably will be Semmering tunnel in Austria which is a bit more than 1km long and it takes maybe 1 minute to pass through. Also the tunnels in and out of Berlin Central are of similar length but that should be it apart from a few shorter ones along the way. On the Semmering route there will be quite a few in a row but none of them is particularly long.

No reservations needed; only if you want to use the Berlin - Wien night train (and reverse) you will need one: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/berlin-vienna-en-40477/46

Be fair and purchase your InterRail ticket at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - thank you. :)

Thank you very much :)
I am also thinking about Munich istead of Vienna.
Is there tunnels between the points from Munich - Berlin, Munich - Zagreb or Rijeka? :P

All i really want on this trip is go to the plitvice lakes and to krka nationalpark, and see some beach.
Is this the best route you think?

OK...but why not going Berlin - München - Rijeka - Zagreb - Wien - Berlin then?

Between Berlin and München there are several tunnels, depending on which route you go. You should take a train not via Ingoldstadt but via Augsburg then to avoid the many tunnels on the high speed line from Nürnberg to München.

There are two long tunnels from München to Rijeka; Tauerntunnel and Karawankentunnel, each one about 8km long. You could avoid them by taking a night train and passing through overnight. :)

There are no long tunnels, but as there are so many different routes to go I cant describe every tunnel on every route... ;)
