Hi there,

I'm planning my Interrail-Tour at the moment and I've got the following problem:
I am a German so with the Interrail-Ticket I'm not allowed to travel through germany. I'm planning to go from Munich to Hamburg and then Flensburg with a lift. Then I will start my train-travels from Flensburg to Copenhague and then Stockholm. I might as well visit Oslo afterwards, not so sure yet.

So here comes the problem: My next stop would be Amsterdam afterwards, but how do i get from Skandinavia to Netherlands? By car isnt possible, nobody is driving that way and by train would be too expensive as i just get a 25% discount in Germany, right?

Thanks for your help,
Marius

Hi Marius.
There is a German language section of the forum as well. :)
You don't have a lot of options. The 25% discount is only available for your first trip leaving Germany or the one coming back home.

A good solution is to buy a special price ticket for the direct night train: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/copenhagen-amsterdam-cnl-40473/13
Okay, you have to pay for it, but you save the money for a hostel. Book it on [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux].

Otherwise think about the Quer-Durchs-Land or Schönes-Wochenende ticket.
If you want to travel to Eastern-Europe from Scandinavia, think about the route via the Baltics. These are not included in Interrail, but inexpensive by train and bus. Route is available from Stockholm or from Finland: https://rail.cc/blog/baltics-train-bus-ferry/

Sad rule, the rule with the country of residence - I know, being as well from Germany.

And please help us to help you with the information on railcc - buy your official Interrail pass on the recommended website: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - as it is not fair to ask at railcc for support and buy somewhere else. Thank you!

Peter :)
