Hi,
I was digging around on the fastest/better way to come to Portugal from Venice. I had Venice as the last 'must-go' city in my interrail, I might stop somewhere else before getting back to Portugal, so since there is no direct train from Venice (as far as I know) I would like to know which between cities I can go and get a somewhat direct train to Portugal after that.
Thanks

Hi,
this depends on the day you want to travel :) One possible route is:
Venice - Milan - Nice - Irun (San Sebastian) - Lisbon.
Venice - Milan: https://rail.cc/en/train/venice-to-milan
Milan - Nice: https://rail.cc/en/train/milan-to-nice
Nice - Irun: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/nice-irun-icn-4730/141 (only runs on Friday & Sunday)
Irun - San Sebastian by a local train
Irun/San Sebastian - Lisbon: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/irun-lisbon-th-313/73
Otherwise you can go via Madrid and take the night train to Lisbon, if the night train from Nice does not run: https://rail.cc/en/train/nice-to-madrid & https://rail.cc/en/night-train/paris-rome-en-227/71
Another possiblity is to fly :) Go to Bergamo or Bologna and fly to Porto via Ryanair.
