Hey, i want to travel from Milan to Nice and the Eurorail Timetable 2013 and Deutsche Bahn Travelservice say:
Reservation obligatory
..... - link timed out, please post schedule directly in the forum

But railcc says: InterRail: reservation possible but not required
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/milan-to-nice

Does this mean, Interrail travellers don\'t need to reservate?

Hi.
The schedules on the website of Bahn are not made for Interrailers.
For the Bahn-schedules we use here on railcc: [ux]https://plan.rail.cc[/ux]

I don\'t know what exactly you mean with Eurorail Timetable 2013? But the information you have from there is wrong!

And yes, the information from railcc is correct: you can travel for free on this route: https://rail.cc/blog/marseille-milan-train/

The IC train in Italy is free - but we recommend to buy a reservation for EUR 3 - so you have a seat and don\'t have to change it all the time if someone else comes with a seat reservation. Reservations are available at Italian ticket machines in the stations. Easy! Just select Global Pass as option.
The local train in France is free.

I hope you purchased (or will purchase) your Interrail pass on railcc. As it is not fair to ask here at railcc for free support, but to buy somewhere else. railcc is not the support forum of other companies! If you ordered already at railcc, just give me your order ID (PNR) beginning with AA. Send it to me by personal mail.
Thank you! :)

Peter :)

Hi!

You can either trust a machine or the people at railcc who have been using trains in real life as well.
You do not need a reservation when travelling with Intercity trains in Italy with InterRail or Eurail tickets. However we recommend to get a reservation if you are travelling on longer distances as regular tickets for these trains have a reservation included and it might happen that another traveller claims your seat if you travel without a reservation.
