Hi

We are a group if three people going on an interrail from Barcelona to Prague. On the way we would like to stay in Riomaggiore, southern Cinque Terre for two days. From there we intend to go to Munich.

The only problem is, we are having some trouble finding train connections from Cinque to Munich on the site, and on the other sites the price is steep (200-300€).

What I am wondering is, if there is some local train that goes from Riomaggiore to Munich. We would prefer to be able to our interrail-passes on this trip, if not all of it, at least the most of the stretch.

Thanks in advance!

Hi.
Where did you purchased your Interrail passes? If you ordered already here on railcc, give me your order ID so I can set you premium. Thank you.

Just use a schedule planer (https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route) and combine it with the information here on railcc. Where did you got the information from 200-300 EUR from? This is rip-off even for point to point tickets.
If you travel point to point you get the ticket for Riomaggiore to Florence from ~ EUR 19 and from Florence to Munich by night train from ~ EUR 43. It is really shocking me the price you told me!!! :o

If you travel with Interrail, a good connection is for example:

Riomaggiore dep: 1852 - free local train
La Spezia Centrale arr: 1859

La Spezia Centrale dep: 1910 - free local train
Firenze S.M.N. Mi, 24.07.13 arr: 2142

And then by direct night train to Munich: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/rome-munich-cnl-484/34

Thank you for your answer Peter!

We chose the travelroute you posted, as it was perfect timed with our departure from La Spezia.

I've ordered two tickets in Couchettes, but the last person would like only a seat. As is says on RD, you can book a seat for 11,50€, but a can't find that option on DB's site. Does this mean the last person can ride the train from Firenze to Munich free of charge, or does she have to book a couchette?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, thanks for the update Flo :)

So im having some problems.. We are now planning to take train from Riomaggiore to La Spezia, Firenze and finaly nighttrain to Munich. This has been booked for 2/3 travelers. As the CNL is now packed im trying to fins alternative routes. One is the CNL that runs from Firenze to Munich 13.07.13 - 18:30, but this train seemingly runs from Fir. to Venezia first.

So here is my request: Can someone capable fins a train route/connection that goes from preferably Riomaggiore to Munich? Departure: 13.07.13.

I've tried to understand Trenitalia, but this is beyond my reach :P

I hope someone doesnt mind taking the time. Thanks in adnvance :)

There are three night trains from Italy to Munich:

https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/milan-munich-cnl40481/274
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/rome-munich-cnl-484/34
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/venice-munich-cnl40236/36

You could reach Milano quite easily from Riomaggiore:
Riomaggiore 1708 - 1858 Genova PP
Genova PP 1919 - 2050 Milano Cle
Milano Cle 2135 - 0630 München Hbf

Booking of reservations via [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
