Hello everyone!

I am so sucks at finding informations on the Internet, so I will please you all to help me! :|
I have to travel from Barcelona to Budapest, and I would like to go by train, so do you have any idea of the best option (the cheapest :) ) to realise this trip? I need only one way direction and the trip should start arround 30th of July.

I don't have experience with Interrail trips, so it's not so clear to me which steps should I take.

Thaaank you a loot!

Hi.
If you want to travel only one-way, think about point to point tickets. You have to buy three tickets via the following links:

Barcelona - Paris: [ux]https://rail.shop/sncf[/ux]

Paris - Munich: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]

Munich - Budapest: [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]

As earlier you book, as cheaper the trains are.
Peter :)

Hi Morada!

If you have a bit of time I think InterRail would be the best solution for you; the 5in10 Global Pass is 181€ and you could us it for your trip with just a few extra reservation costs.

The most convenient route in my opinion would be:

https://rail.cc/en/interrail/barcelona-to-zurich
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/zurich-to-budapest

With InterRail you would just need the reservation for the night train from Cerbere to Mulhouse which is 6€ in a seat and 20€ in a couchette if you get it at a station.
You can also book the reservation online at rail.shop/acprail/reservation but it may be more expensive due to handling fees.

So total price would be 187€ for your trip. This is hardly possible with regular tickets...you can compare prices though if you want: Follow the above links and click on train tickets, then select a connection and use the blue shopping cart links to compare prices.

Since this route would only require two (or three if you travel Zürich - Budapest overnight) travel days of your 5in10 IR pass you might expand it a little if you want...you could make a round trip in Switzerland and visit some nice spots in the Alps, go with the Petit Train Jaune...
Or you take a completely different route via Marseille - Nice - Milano - Venice - Vienna. :) All up to you.

If you go with InterRail be fair and purchase your IR ticket in our webshop at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - to support our work and all the free information you get here - thank you. :)
