Hi, I've tried researching all of this but just can't get to the bottom of it - maybe someone with more understanding than me will! Basically read that some train companies do not accept Inter-Rail passes and most trains have a limit of pass holders allowed to reserve a place. We plan on getting the following connections:

Krakow-Bratislava (using TLK and EuroCity)
Bratislava-Belgrade (Eurocity)
Belgrade-Budapest (Nacht-Schnellzug)
Budapest-Prague (Eurocity)

I have two questions. 1) are all these companies compatible with passes? and 2) the Krakow-Bratislava and Belgrade-Budapest trains need reservation. Can these be done in advance/online etc? If not how likely are they to sell out?

Any help would be great! Thanks :)

Hi.
Just have a look at the railcc schedules and click the train details:

Krakow - Bratislava: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/krakow-to-bratislava
Required reservations available at the train station.

Bratislava - Belgrade: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/bratislava-to-belgrade
No reservation required.

Belgrade - Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/belgrade-to-budapest
Night train details: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/belgrade-budapest-b340/208
Night train reservation available at the station.

Budapest - Prague: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/budapest-to-prague
Night train details: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/budapest-prague-en-476/218
Night train reservation available at the station.

You can never preview if a train will be full or not. You can buy the reservations (if you know your exact travel dates) already in advance in other countries stations. For example the one for Budapest-Prague already in Krakow and so on ...

And please help us to help you with the information on railcc - buy your official Interrail pass on the recommended website: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] - as it is not fair to ask at railcc for support and buy somewhere else. Thank you!

Peter :)
