Hi
Me and some friends are doing a 10 day Interrail, and we would really like to see the Lavender fields blooming in July. We're starting our travel in Barcelona, but we would like to travel to a city called Village de Valensole in Provence.

I was wondering if anyone knows how to get to this place in the cheapest way possible with an Interrail ticket?

It would be so great to get some help!

Hi,
I think the next station is Manosque Gréoux les Bains. From there you have to take a taxi or hitchhike. To safe some time, it might be better to make some reservations. A possible route is a part of this route:
https://rail.cc/en/train/barcelona-to-nice Use this connection until Aix-en-Provence. From there you can catch a local train to Manosque Gréoux les Bains. One will depatures at 15:15; the train number is 49035. According to bahn, the next train will leave at 17:11, but according to sncf the next train will take departure at 18:20.

But I think you can also avoid reservations: Use this connection to Montpellier: https://rail.cc/en/train/barcelona-to-paris Use a regional train to Marseille at 16:39. So you'll arrive at 18:40 in Marseille. From there you can take a TER at 18:53 to Manosque Gréoux les Bains. You'll arrive at 19:53.

Be fair and buy the ticket here :) [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]

I hope above is correct. A village (is the same name in FR and EN, but pronounce it different) with that name does not exist. I looked in the Michelin atlas which lists any FR tiny hamlet. Maybe it is meant ''villages around Valence'' but thats not really Provence.
IF you have the correct name-and If you also know the departement in which, then google for ''conseil general (dept. name)'' en find ''transports publics''. In most you can then find times for any buses they may have-or not-or not on non-school holidays, which is very common in rural FR. IF you have it all from a source like travelguide-then you should have found a better guidebook with more uptodate info. You also cannot expect to have taxi's standing ready at minor gares in FR. In most cases-and also assuming this is the right time for blooming- then tourists without own car do best to join a coach/bustour, from a nearby larger town.
