Hi there,
I live in London and planning to go in the mid August for 3 day holiday (Sat morning, Sun, Mon evening back) -- 24th, 25th and 26th.
I'm looking for some nice and relatively cheap option (flights to Amsterdam, Barcelona are around £150 which is quite expensive).
What I found:
1) train London-Edinburgh (£100).
2) Tried to find some good flights via skyscanner. Results:

Obviously prices are from...
What destination would you recommend? or maybe any other propositions where to go? :)
Cheers!

Berlin. My favorite city :D
I have been to frankfurt and i wasnt a great fan, there were a lot of museums but apart from that it wasnt very touristy.
Dusseldorf weeze airport is quite a way from the city itself, so you will have to consider the cost to get to dusseldorf itself

Stockholm seems a good option but very pricey when you are there!
P.S - you are so lucky with the variety of places to fly to from London!
Birmingham airport flys hardly any places i want to go to :'(

I dont fly.
You could do a round trip London - Portsmouth - ferry to Ouistreham/Caen (starting from 29 GBP), then work your way to Dives-Cabourg - Trouville-Deauville and go to Paris for a Eurostar back home; or add Honfleur and Le Havre as well. There are plenty of buses along the coast linking the different cities: http://www.busverts.fr/upload/fiches_horaires/bis/L20S2.pdf

Thanks guys for your advice:)
Checked Berlin and finally the flight was much more than £100, and anyway i'm going to visit a lot of Germany (including Berlin) next year.
flow: sounds interesting, but not sure if it's not too much just for 3 days? :)
Anyway - I've bought tickets to Stockholm - £66 :)
PS. Jaycho - from Birmingham you can take 2.5-hour coach for approx. £5 to London ;)

Humm, well Stockholm is really nice! Good choice. :)
Yeah, the trip to France might be quite packed, but that's what I would do...as a freak. ;)
