Hello guys!
I'm going to do an interrail with global pass next july-august.
I want to buy the train intercité de nuit from Marseille (France) to Irun (Spain) on 4th of august (leaving at 23h).
On your page of night trains, I read that the reservation for this train is 6€ for Sleeperette and 20,60€ for couchette. But when I try to buy it, the price that appear is 53€! Why? And what's the correct one?
Thank you very much!

Hi.
Where exactly do you try to book the Interrail reservation for this night train?
As on the given dates it is not available in the railcc booking engine for now: [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux]
French night trains are often announced on shorter notice ... so pre-booking time is a bit short...
And the prices given here at railcc are correct!

Thank you for your help Peter. I tried to buy it here on railcc, in the page that you sent to me.
If you watch here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/nice-irun-icn-4730/141
you can read
category Rail Pass
Sleeperette | 2nd class EUR 6
Couchette 6 | 6-bed-compartment | 2nd class EUR 20,60
Couchette 4 | 4-bed-compartment | 1st class EUR 20,60

So I'm thinking that I can have this ticket paying 6 or 20,60€, right?
But if you try to buy it in the other page that you sent to me: [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail[/ux] you read this:
Marseille St CharlesIrun23:0312:00 (+1)12:051 €53.00
Journey Details
Depart Marseille St Charles at 23:03 - Arrive Bordeaux St Jean at 08:09 (Train service, number: 4730)
Depart Bordeaux St Jean at 09:01 - Arrive Irun at 12:00 (Train service, number: 4731)
One-Way-Outbound 2Cl Couchet.6B
SNCF SLEEPER-COUCHETTE RESERV. EURAIL PASSH https://rail.cc/en/night-train/sweden/se ER Info
- seat reservation: only, no ticket or pass included - BUT REQUIRED

€53.00

So my question is: What's the correct price? Because for me 53€ for the reservation is too much, and if I have to pay those money I will change the city in my travel planning!
Can you help me to understand it? Thank you so much!
Cheers, Andrea

Hi Andrea.
Did you read the yellow information box bellow the schedules?
Note: the given prices may vary due to service or handling fees. Depending on whether you purchase the reservations/tickets online, at a ticket machine or at a railway station.

Even French SNCF (the company which provides this train) doesn't offer the online service to make reservations only for Interrailers - so it is double hard work to offer this for independent projects. Reservations are service only - no one earns money with it, but the person who print it and send it to you by letter to you has to be paid. :o

The main reason why the prices are different: you use TWO trains in the sense of the booking system (Bordeaux) - therefore double price.

:arr: The standard way is to buy reservations at stations - not online. Like I said, online booking of reservations is an extra service with humans in the background - and therefore has to be paid extra. :)

In fact 4730 and 4731 are the same train, but in France, train numbers are allocated in the direction the train is running: towards Paris: even number, away from Paris: uneven number; the booking system has troubles with this system sadly - but railcc can not do anything about it. :(

Ah ok! Thank you so much! It's more clear now. And maybe you know how I will pay this reservation buying it in station?
