Hi railccs
I saw on this website that the night train from Krakow to Berlin has been suspended - How long would this continue for? Is there a direct night train where I wouldn't have to change trains along the way?
Apparently I can't use my Eurail Pass for the direct day train either, leaving my only alternative as the train departing at 10.29 am as per the website:
https://rail.cc/en/train/krakow-to-berlin
I also had a search on the DB Bahn website which shows there is one direct train connection (8.15 hours) from Krakow to Berlin with the IC Bus Train. Can I use my pass for this train? I hold a 1st class global pass but I don't mind downgrading to 2nd class, if it means I can find a quick and easy route into Berlin.
Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated!

Hi mushysushi.
Please send me your order-Id so I can give you the railcc Premium status. Thank you. :)
If you did not purchased your Eurail pass at railcc, ask the company for support where you got your rail pass from.
As it is not fair to ask here at railcc for free support, use all the information we offer for free, but give your money to someone else.
The bus offers only second class (dep: 1006, arr: 1820). Tickets available by following the blue shopping cart: https://rail.cc/en/train/krakow-to-berlin

Hi Peter
Thanks for the reply. I haven't yet ordered my ticket as I'm actually doing advance planning for next year and working out an itinerary based on ease of transport (since we are travelling for a long time across Europe!). As I never been to Krakow, I thought I get a basic sense of the logistics first.
But when I am ready to settle the tickets, I'll be sure to purchase through this website. You are doing a great thing here, and I do want to show my support. I am just not sure if there are any direct trips on that route I can reserve with a Eurail pass, and if that is the case, I'll look at other routes.

Hej!
The direct night train train Krakow - Berlin has been withdrawn several years ago; there are however two possible connections overnight which I just updated:
https://rail.cc/en/train/krakow-to-berlin
Keep in mind though that Poland is not included in the Eurail Global Pass!

Hi.
Oh okay ... that's nice supporting railcc then next year. :)
It depends on the pass ... the Eurail Global Pass is not valid in Poland. Only the Eurail One Country (https://rail.cc/en/eurail-one-country-pass) and the Eurail Regional Pass Germany Poland (https://rail.cc/en/eurail-select-pass) like Flow already wrote.
The bus is nice and good quality on this route. So no worries about 2nd class (like it is nearly always the case in Europe!). So if you want to travel Krakow-Berlin, there are as well cheap point to point tickets available as e-tickets for EUR 29.

Oh geez. In all my eagerness to sort out a route, I just assumed Poland accepts the Eurail Global Pass! :os
Thanks for clearing that up for me, Peter and Flo. Much appreciated!
