Hi there! First time interrailing, going with an American friend who has a Eurail ticket, and have bought the month-long Global Pass. We're two girls travelling together- and my American friend has only left the country a few times!
We're leaving London on the 25th- what's the best and cheapest way of getting to France?
Our proposed route is London -> Paris -> Bruxelles -> Amsterdam -> Berlin -> Vienna -> Klosters (a friend's place in Switzerland) -> Zurich -> Milan -> aaand back to Paris.
I have a few questions:
1) Is this route a decent idea?
2) Should we miss any of the above places?
3) Do we HAVE to book any of the trains on this route?
4) Got any recommendations about what trains and how we should do the route?
5) Is it necessary to join the YHA or book hostels in advance? We kinda want to wing it, but it seems that our dates are super busy...
6) What are your recommended hostels in these places? We REALLY wanna keep costs down.
Thanks so much!

Hi Pippa.
If you did not purchased your ticket via our partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] , you should contact the company where you got it from - as railcc is not the support website of other companies. It is not fair to give an other website your money and to use all the information here on railcc for free. :)
London - Paris: if you use the direct Eurostar, it is an extreme reservation of EUR 75 you have to pay. Other solutions here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/london-to-paris
All other connections here - and as well information about extra fees or not, night trains or day trains: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
From Berlin you could also travel via Prague and Budapest to Vienna.
Zurich - Milan: use this FREE and scenic route - https://rail.cc/en/interrail/zurich-to-milan
Milan - Paris: avoid extra fees - see schedules above.
Pete :)
