Best way to travel from Munich to Paris

Hi,
I am looking for the best way to get from Munich to Paris. I see that there is a night train however if possible I would like to avoid this and travel during the day. I am concerned the reservation fee will be expensive? Could you tell me how much it would be? Thanks
