Hi :)

I have a little question, i was checking the train from Amstendam to Berlin and appears:

InterRail: reservation possible but not required
2nd class: EUR 4
1st class: EUR 4

What this mean? I dont need to make a reservation, only if i want it? And if i have a 2nd class Interrail pass i need to pay 4 € for that trip? Resume: to go to berlin from Amsterdam the total cost i have is 4€?

Other situation, From Berlin to Krakow:

InterRail: reservation required
2ª classe: free
1ª classe: free
Free in 2nd class seats. But not recommended.

In this situation we need to pay a reservation? And what means free in 2nd class? I dont need to pay nothing to travel from Berlin to Krakow?

Thanks :)

Hi
Amsterdam-Berlin:
Reservation possible but not required: you can enter the train and just sit down on a seat for free.
But it is also possible to make a reservation if you like.

Berlin-Krakow:
I don't know about which connection you exactly talk, but the direct bus (replacing the train service due to construction work) requires a reservation of EUR 4.
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/berlin-to-krakow
For the Polish trains please read the details - click the train name. The reservation is free - but ...
Reservations are compulsory; they are available free of charge at train stations in Poland.
You can enter the train without a reservation, the on-board fee is 10 PLN.
If a train is fully booked you can still go on the train without a reservation but wont have a seat.

And please support all the railcc information and this answer with the purchase of your official Interrail pass in the railcc shop: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you.

Hi :)

Thanks for the quick answer, but i'm not sure if i get it in the train Amsterdam-Berlin, i can enter in the train and sit on a free seat,ok, but why they charge 4€ in 2nd class? this 4 euros is the price i have to pay in the train if i dont make a reservation? And if i make a reservation i dont need to pay nothing at all?

Berlin- krakow - https://rail.cc/en/train/berlin-to-krakow , if i make a reservation in the polish trains I escape to pay this 10 PLN? Or i have to pay no matter what?

Thanks and sorry :)

Amsterdam-Berlin: a) You don't make a reservation: you pay nothing and have to search for a free seat. If someone with a reservation enters the train, you have to leave the seat and search a new one – or stand/sit in the aisle if no more seats are free. b) You make a reservation: in second class it costs 4,- €. Reservation on train is – as far as I know – not possible. If you want one, you have to get it before entering the train.

Berlin-Krakow: I'm not sure about this one, but I think it works like this: a) You don't make a reservation before entering the train: you have to pay 10 PLN as you need to buy the reservation on train. b) You make a reservation before entering the train: it's free, but you have to get it at the station.

Amsterdam - Berlin: You dont need a reservation...reserved seats are marked so just take a unreserved seat.
Berlin - Krakow: Reservations are only free when made at a station in Poland.
