Hello.

Could someone please tell me if the 19:00 rule applies for night trains that change their Ids?

Specifically: EN 476 (MAV) from Budapest to Warszawa runs as EN 476 until Berclav, and as D 406 thereafter. Strangely, at my local railway station, I was informed that reservations can only be made for one train, or twice for two trains. (?!)

If the above is true, I have to wonder if changing trains refers to trains that change their Ids as well, or solely on actually getting off a train and boarding onto another. :)

Any help is greatly appreciated,
Thank you.

Hi,

as NatureOne already said, you only need one reservation. The coaches to Warszawa are through coaches running combined with the train 476 Budapest - Berlin until Breclav and being changed there to train 406 Wien - Warszawa. You dont have to change trains, only one reservation is required and the 1900 rule of course applies.
However I could imagine that it can be a bit tricky to get the correct reservation. The person at the station probably would have to enter the train number manually, the 10476 should work for a reservation in the Budapest - Warszawa coaches.
