Hello everyone!
I was wondering if this route..:
Lisbon - Madrid - Barcelona - Paris - Venice - Prague - Krakow - Budapest - Zagreb - Split - Thessaloniki - Athens
..doable is in a month? And does anyone know if every part of this route has a connection without extra fees?
Or does someone have better route ideas? The thing is, me and my friend really want to go to Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia and Greece. So it is a very long way, we know, but we hope there is a way to do this! :)
Thanks in advance!
Marley

Hi.
Looks good your route but ... ;)
First: schedules are here - if free connections which make sense are available, we list them: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
Barcelona - Paris: include the Little Yellow Train - https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/
I would think about excluding Venice: it is expensive and very touristy and a bit away from your route.
Also Paris - Venice is a long trip. The direct night train is not included in Interrail and the day trains via France to Milan are also very expensive - see schedules link above.
You could travel Paris-Berlin by direct night train (or Paris-Munich) and then on to Prague.
If you want to travel trough Croatia, you could if you want add a trip via Dubrovnik to Montenegro (Bar) - this part is by bus, but not expensive (see schedules). Then by the scenic railway Bar to Belgrade.
Continue to Sofia, bus to Thessaloniki (currently no international train connections to Greece by train).
Just some thoughts to start planing your trip.
Peter :)
