Hi.
So your previous ideas changed?
https://rail.cc/en/not-sure-where-to-start-interrailing-uk-to-spain/f9094

You could cross the Pyrenees by Little Yellow Train: https://blog.rail.cc/little-yellow-train-video/
Continue by free (!) trains to Nice (France): https://rail.cc/en/train/barcelona-to-nice
Go on to Italy.
Straight forward to Slovenia, crossing the border like this: https://blog.rail.cc/travel-lake-bled-train/
Than maybe Lake Bled: https://rail.cc/en/bled/c
And Croatia: https://rail.cc/en/croatia/xhr
But the question is - where do you want to end? Back to the UK by train?
If you want to save money on your Interrail trip, France isn't a good place for it.
Peter :)

You could also look for a Rail+Sail ticket for the Hook van Holland - Harwich ferry to get back to the UK. :)
