Humm...I cant tell, but would buy the tickets online at the website of UA (Ukrainian website). You then can easily collect the ticket at a station in Hungary.
I would travel with the overnight train to Chop, then cross the border to Zahony in Hungary with a local train, then domestic IC train to Budapest (buy ticket either online at MAV website or locally).
