Hi guys,

I am trying to make a reservation for a night train from Paris to Portbou for July.

https://rail.cc/en/night-train/paris-portbou-icn-3731/78

This link says that it costs only about €21 but when I was going to make the reservation in the railcc shop, the price went up to €27.

That wouldn't be that bad but when I checked out the second link for reservation (SNCF official site), I could get the same reservation for €18 selecting the Abo forfait 2e option.

Obviously, I would rather pay €18 instead of €27 but I have no idea what Abo forfait 2e is. Is it the same as the railcc reservation or could I get in trouble?

Thank you for your answers and advice!

Hi.
Either buy this reservation online at railcc or at a railway station (don't has to be the one where this night train leaves).

Also read in the information: the given prices may vary due to service or handling fees. Depending on whether you purchase the reservations/tickets online, at a ticket machine or at a railway station.
So if you want to have the service of a French night train reservation send to you at home, you have to pay something extra, as the person printing out the tickets and make it ready to send it has to be paid as well.

I removed the Abo forfait 2e option. It was an option in the past but seems not to be accepted anymore.

Peter :)
