Hi, I'm planning a train trip in Eastern Europe, this is my route:
1 Flight Rome - Krakow and 4 days in Krakow
2 Night train Krakow - Prague and 4 days in Prague
3 Night train Prague - Budapest and 4 days in Budapest
4 Railjet train Budapest - Wien, just one day in Wien (I went there last year), and then Euronight train to Rome.

I'd like to add another city, either Bratislava, Kosice or Dresden. Which is better in your opinion? Are there any other cities on the route that are worth a visit?

Thanks for your answers,
Lorenzo :D

What kind of ticket(s) are you going to use?

I'm using an interrail pass 10/22, because I've planned to have some day trips from the main cities to some less turistic towns in Czech Republic and Hungary...

OK, well then I would recommend to go to Koscie by night train from Praha, then travel during the day to Bratislava via the scenic route via Brezno - Zvolen. :arr: http://www.bueker.net/trainspotting/map.php?file=maps/slovakia/slovakia.gif

Dresden of course is worth a visit too and can easily be done as a day trip from Prague via the scenic line along Vltava and Elbe valley.
