I will be stopping at a few cities for just a day in between night trains; Berlin, Copenhagen & Vienna and was wondering if anyone knew the situation regarding lockers in the stations there? I don't want to carry my big bag all day

don't worry!
i'm sure that every big or even medium station has lockers. it usually costs about 3-5euro per day(~12hours). may be in Denmark it can be slightly more expensive but you should be prepared if you want to go there ;)

I've been thinking about the same thing and from my frantic googling this is what i've found out about berlin;
However, it does not have any luggage lockers; instead there is only a left-luggage facility with a luggage-screening policy, which means waiting times should be expected when checking baggage in or out. (For a decent selection of coin-operated luggage lockers, try Zoo Station).
I can't be completely sure how accurate this is as i haven't been myself yet but it was found here.

Hi.
This information is wrong. ;)
At Berlin central station you have lockers - I used them already personally several times.
Due to security reasons you have in the main building only a staffed luggage service with x-ray machine checking your luggage. The price is there EUR 5 per day (not open 24/7 - only 06:00-22:00h).
If you want to use the normal lockers, go to the car park, area C, level 1-3.
See map, page 2, in the middle beside the light blue P: http://www.deutschebahn.com/site/shared/de/dateianhaenge/infomaterial/sonstige/bahnhofsplan__berlin__hbf.pdf
Price per 24 hours is up to EUR 6 for the big ones.
Peter :)

There are lockers at Kobenhavn H and several stations in Vienna as well. :)
