Hey everybody,
it's my first time with InterRail (5 days-FlexiPass) and I want to go from Flensburg to Andalsnes (and back).
I found this connection:
14.5.2013
Flensburg 8:56 - Kopenhagen 12:50 (Intercity)
Kopenhagen 13:32 - Göteborg 17:15 (Oeresundtrain)
Göteborg 18:00 - Oslo 21.49 ( Regional Train)
Oslo 22:56 - Dombas 3:54 (Night Train)
Dombas 12: 09 - Andalsnes 13:27 (Highspeedtrain)
and now I'm wondering how much I will have to pay for obligatory reservations. I'm especially wondering about the train from Göteborg to Oslo (it's a direct regional train) and the Oeresundtrain (I read somewhere that you do not have to pay for the reservation) I already checked here on railcc but sometimes it just says that there is no information possible. Maybe someone of you have made this experience and could help me?
Also I would like to know if it's enough for these trains to possess a InterRail Pass and to pay the extra-fee of 6-13 € (depending on the train) or if there are some other upcoming fees.
Thank you in advance :)
Greetings from Germany !

Hej!
1) We have a German forum as well. ;)
2) No reservation required on that route. :)
3) What do you mean no information possible? Link?
4) On Oresundtrains no reservation is required, same with Göteborg - Oslo IC service
5) In Norway, a 6€ reservation (50 NOK) is recommend for night and long distance trains - but it is not compulsory.

Hey,
wow, thanks for the quick answer - and yes, now I found out as well that there is a german forum ;)
So, did I understand it right - the reservations on these trains are not obligatory? I can just take the trains and my InterRailPass will be enough? I just want to be sure because I read different informations about it. But I will post this question in the german forum as well.
Oh, and the link is not working anymore ( [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] )
Thanks again!

... oh and the 6 € reservation for the night train - where can I get it? Because the reservation service here on railcc says it's 8 € and required: (The link is not available but I copied the important part)
Journey Details
Depart Oslo S at 22:56 - Arrive Dombås at 03:54 (Train service, number: 405)
One-Way-Outbound
Komfort
Standard
Std Slp 1B
NSB SEAT RESERVATION
Info
- seat reservation: only, no ticket or pass included - BUT REQUIRED
That's what confused me a bit.

Hej,
no need to post the same question in the German forum - but feel free to do so if you have other questions in the future. ;)
The link leads to the shop which makes not much sense. All reservation information can be found here: :arr: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
Yup, this are the informations I have: No reservation required. But I will try to check... :)

EDIT: Oh, Ok. Reservations via the shop can be more expensive than listed due to added handling fees - printing and sending single reservations is rather expensive, that's why there can bee extra costs.
The price listed in the above link is the regular price of the reservation - you can get it either directly in Norway or at a station in Germany as well.

In the railcc-shop it says that reservation is also required from Flensburg to Kopenhagen:
Journey Details
Depart Flensburg at 08:56 - Arrive Köbenhavn H at 12:50 (Train service, number: 5720)
One-Way-Outbound
First
Standard
DSB RESERVATION
Info
- seat reservation: only, no ticket or pass included - BUT REQUIRED
...but I will check it again, maybe at a local train station.
Good Night and thanks for helping!

Hi!
Dont use the shop for looking for schedules or reservation information!
- Train schedules: https://rail.cc/de/suche-interrail-verbindungen
- Reservations: https://rail.cc/de/interrail-zugreservierung
The information - seat reservation: only, no ticket or pass included - BUT REQUIRED means: This is just a seat reservation. You need a ticket or pass to be able to use it.

Hi.
Like Flow wrote, use the links he gave you for the schedules. :)
Just to clarify: seat reservation: only, no ticket or pass included - BUT REQUIRED
The BUT REQUIRED has NOTHING to do if a reservation is required for a certain train or not!
It refers ONLY to the TYPE of the ticket, means: if you buy this reservation (no matter if is mandatory or not), you also need a rail pass or ticket beside - it is not a full point to point ticket.
Peter :)

Hi!
I got some updates from NSB: According to their support, reservations are compulsory on the long distance routes from Oslo to Stavanger/Bergen/Trondheim and Trondheim - Bodo. However, I would again inquire locally at the stations and/or ask the conductor whether you need a reservation or not.
We would be grateful if you could report your experiences after your trip, thank you. :)
