So I've been put in charge to organize my friends trips for this summer 2013. :) WOOO! :!: Planning is really hard :| when the whole world (or Europe) is your oyster. Thinking an West meets East board train route. So thinking from the 20th of June to 2nd of July
Croatia- Fly into Zagreb- 20,21,22nd
Budapest- 23, 24
Vienna- 25,26
Prague- 27,28
Berlin-29, 30
Amsterdam 1,2 of July Fly out back to London.

Originally I was thinking of using the 5:10 in croatia to Prague , but that meant our five journeys would be used up and flights home felt expensive. So instead flying from amsterdam which is more than a third of the price.
The problem is how to get around croatia. Is it expensive to by train tickets the to travel to the northern coast (pula) or split. How about buses?

Anyway Found this website amazingly helpful in the planning of the trip, so as a big thank you I will be buying our three tickets on here. :D

Hi.
Have a look here for train prices in Croatia: http://vred.hznet.hr/hzinfo/?category=hzinfo&service=cijk3&lang=en
About buses I can't give you information.
It isn't expensive to travel by train in Croatia, so I think it is a good mix to buy the 5 in 10 Interrail for Croatia to Amsterdam - and within Croatia trains (or buses).

It is for example possible to travel Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes by bus: https://rail.cc/en/train/zagreb-to-plitvice-lakes
And to continue by bus from Plitvice Lakes to Split: https://rail.cc/en/train/plitvice-lakes-to-split

From Split to Zagreb you have several direct trains daily: https://rail.cc/en/train/split-to-zagreb

Or go along the coast by bus to Ploče (several connections daily for ~ EUR 10)
Ploče - Mostar by train: ~ EUR 8
Mostar - Sarajevo: ~ EUR 4
Sarajevo - Zagreb: ~ EUR 40
Information in the railcc schedules: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

The rest of your route is easy. And free of extra reservations - just check the railcc schedules.

And thank you for supporting railcc with your purchase.
Pete :)
