Hello!
I'm plannig my first Interrail ever for this Summer and I already established that I will fly to Munich from Lisbon, my hometown, and then start to head south trough Austria, Slovenia, Crotia etc... The problem is that I'm finding difficult to go from Innbruck to Ljubljana by train. The only alternative I've found was passing through three trains and that looks to me like a waste of precious time? Does anyone have an alternative?
If it's not an easy trip to do what other cities should I considerer to visit in Austria? Or should I go straight to Ljubljana?
Thanks and Good Adventures

Hi :D
So, as to the connection from Innsbruck to Ljubljana, you can use the Zurich - Zagreb Night train, entering in Innsbruck and getting out in Ljubljana: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/zurich-belgrade-en-415/160.
As to other cities worth visiting in Austria, you have Salzburg and Vienna, both beautiful. In that case, you could go to Salzburg from Innsbruck (if i'm not mistaken this is part of a scenic route), and then down to Vienna, and then finally to Ljubljana. Between, Vienna and Ljubljana you have lake bled.
Also, you should see if it isn't cheaper buying a shorter pass just for the first part of your trip (Germany, Austria and Slovenia) or a or a flexi pass (for those days) and traveling with point-to-point in both train and bus in Croatia, and other cheap countries.
Hope, i could be of use, and i wish you a nice trip :D
