I'm currently planning an interrailing trip around central/eastern Europe, and this is the route I've come up with so far. We are looking to go for about 3 weeks so intend to use the 10 in 22 days pass.
Berlin-Prague-Krakow-Vienna-Bled-Venice-Rome-Ancona ferry to Split and straight toHvar-Zagreb-Budapest
We intend to spend two nights in most places, but a bit longer in Rome and Hvar (probably 3 nights in those two places). Is there any other places worth thinking about heading to, or perhaps not spending so long, or longer in? We're tempted to leave out Berlin as we feel its somewhere we'll end up going to on other trips as it's easy to reach, and are more interested in getting to places we're unlikely to be able to visit so easily. For example would a day trip to the plitivice lakes be worthwhile (considering we're staying in Bled for a night or two).
Fully open to suggestions! Thanks for all your help :)

Hi.
Looks good your planed route.
But please continue your old topic which is nearly the same like your new route: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-prague-vienna-bled-venice-rome-spli/f9102
Thank you. :)
Lake Bled to Venice: travel this route - https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/
A day trip from Zagreb to Plitvice Lakes is possible by bus: https://rail.cc/en/train/zagreb-to-plitvice-lakes
Return in the evening.
Maybe just ask there in the hostel if they know any special day trip offers and decide spontaneously.
Zagreb - Budapest: you could add a stop at Lake Balaton.
