Hello there,
I couldnt find anywhere in railcc except of night trains about connection between Prague with Ostrava or with Katowice . In hafas.bene-system.com/bin/query.exe/en?ld=atr&L=profi&OK#focus it says that the reservation is compulsory. Has anybody tried those trains before to tell me about how much is the reservation ??

I am in the train from Prague to Ostrava .. There is free WiFi,comfortable 2nd class seats but the reservation fee is 200 Kc (8 Euro)

There are other connections free of extra fees, for example Praha dep 1129, Ostrava arr 1435 by EC train.
Where did you paid the reservation? At the station in Prague or in the train?

Yes I took SC and I paid inside the train 8 euro for the reservation .. My ticket is ending on Monday so which one is the free choice to go back to Prague without reservation fees ?? I want to leave from Katowice at around 15:00-17:00pm ..
By the way the Eurocity from Ostrava to Katowice is supposed to have compulsory reservation but the controller didnt ask me for it,so I just show my IR pass 8) 8)

Yes, the Ostrava - Katowice train is with compulsory reservation for all parts in Poland: [u]https://rail.cc/en-type-country/eurocity/pkp-ic-ec/73[/u]
So you had luck. :)
For your way back home from Katowice to Prague there are no real good connections for free.
I recommend to pay for the EC in Poland.
Example:
Katowice dep: 1115 - direct EC train - EUR 4 - [u]https://rail.cc/en-type-country/eurocity/pkp-ic-ec/73[/u]
Prague arr: 1639
OR
Katowice dep 1715 - EC train - EUR 4 - [u]https://rail.cc/en-type-country/eurocity/pkp-ic-ec/73[/u]
Hranice na Morave arr: 1932
Hranice na Morave dep 1938 - local train = free
Praha arr: 2315

Thank you once again .
I thought of another option . To take this train from Katowice [u]https://rail.cc/en/train/warsaw-to-prague[/u] and then go with Ex train at 18:07 from Ostrava to Prague so I will have the chance(almost one hour) to take a photo of Ostrava train station ;)
