Hiya,

I'm going interrailing from 27 July to 10 August. Understandably this is a very busy time to travel and i'm a bit worried about reservations.

For night trains especially would it be too risky to book at the station before departure? I was looking online at the DB website and it said that you cannot making international reservations online. Do you have any solutions to this? Also do normal shorter journey trains fill up completely in the summer... will i have a problem with that too?

Also, slightly off topic, i'm aware that you can use the S Bhan with your interrail pass- what do you have to do? Just jump on the train? Do i fill out that journey on my pass as i feel like we will probably make quite a few short journeys using this train.

Thanks so much! :os :os

Hi.
For reservations you do on via Deutsche Bahn please use [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] - it is the railcc-Bahn tool: same prices, same tickets, same functions, ... but you do good and support railcc. Thank you. :)

What night trains are you looking for exactly? As there is no general answer possible. Different night trains = different companies = different countries = different places where to book them. ;)

S-Bahn is included in Interrail - which one (city) exactly are you talking about? Don't mix it with subways, metro, ...

If a train is full in summer (day trains usually no problem), you will find alternative travel ways with the railcc schedules. :)

Peter :)

Thanks for your help once again!

Was just wondering if you knew how to go about this as on the DB website it won't allow me to see any reservations. (I used to Rail Dude link too)

It is not possible to make a reservation for international connections at bahn.de without the purchase of a ticket. Please remove the check mark from the field Reservation for seat only, if you would like to buy a ticket for this connection.

Amsterdam - Berlin

1102 from Amsterdam
https://rail.cc/en/interrail/amsterdam-to-berlin

We're going in July, but i'm aware you cannot book until 2 months before, was just testing it with a date in may to see the timings and train details etc.

I've been told the same thing on the website a few times when looking at train connections from Germany to a different country... but i was under the impression that as long as the train either departed or arrived from/to a German station i'd been fine? Thanks!

Hmm...I am not sure what is the problem. Anyway, you dont need a reservation for this train, better save your money for other things. :)

hi!! A few days ago I was trying to make some reservations too and it happens the same. I think it's because we can only make the reservations 2 months before the date.. So, I'll try again later... If you can get something just tell :) thanks
