Hi,
I was just wondering which line to choose for the best views between Rome and Siena?
Perhaps I would like to get off at a station in a small town/village along the way and have a look around... There seems to be many stations located far from the town centres.. Preferably, a place where I don't have to walk too far or take a bus ;)
anyone?
Also wondering about the same thing regarding Siena-Milano..?
Pisa and Florence are ruled out I think because I suspect there are hordes of tourists. Lucca is a bit far away but looks really nice.
In my opinion, there are so many nice little villages and towns in Europe (some ugly too) but many places are so hyped and a lot of big cities look excactly the same :)

Hi!
Roma - Chiusi - Arezzo/Montepulciano - Siena
Siena - (Lucca) - Pistoia - Bologna - Milano (depending on how much time you want to spend in each place...the line from Pistoia to Bologna is the old Apennin crossing and worth travelling (I havent had the chance yet but it is on my list)
Could be interesting routes. :) Never been to one of these places except for Roma and Milano...but I think they are worth looking into.
