Milan - Riomaggiore - Rome - Naples - Venice - Ljbuljana

Hi,

In July I intend to undertake this route on a 10 day in 3week pass: Milan> Riomaggiore> Rome> Naples> Venice> Ljbuljana> Zagreb> Budapest> Salzburg> Munich> Paris

Does this route look ok? And also I have heard a lot about reservations being needed on trains in Italy, is this expensive??
