Hey
i'm going inter railing round europe this coming summer 2013. I'm going from july 22nd till August 9th, so thats for 19 days.
I'm going with 6 friends and we're going (in order) Rome, Venice, Budapest, Prague, Berlin and Amsterdam. We're staying in each place for average 3 nights each (apart from venice, for only one because we know how expensive it is).
We've booked all our hostels and we're doing it cheaply so average £15-£20 a night. But now i've got to save for my spending money but unsure on how much i should take.
How much do you think is a good a amount to take or spend per day (not including hostels)
Any comments are helpful thank you!

Hi.
Save money on accommodation and on food. Stay at hostels with a kitchen will save you a lot of money. Use supermarkets, don't go to fast-food restaurants. Buy your beer in supermarkets and sit somewhere in a park, at a river, ... to drink it.
If I staying hostels with kitchen or have my little camping gaz stove with me, food is definitely less than EUR 5 per day.
Have a look at the calculator here: https://rail.cc/en/overall-costs

Hi.
I don't know how much you drink. ;)
But just make your own calculation ... it is easy. Do it for one day and multiply it with the numbers of days you travel.

Hi, Im doing a similar trip to you in summer 2016. 19 days, from mid july to start of august. Flying to Croatia then trains to Budapest, Prague, Berlin, Amsterdam and Paris. How much did you spend each day? Also do you have any tips or recommendations? There is 6 of us going and spending 3 nights in each place except in Paris.
Thanks, Lucy
