Hi! Sorry, I didn't found any suitable topics (with my bad english) and so I made this. Firstly my huge thanks for you railccs, this has been priceless site for me!
I'm starting an InterRail 29.4. from Stockholm to Kopenhagen by night train, a few days i Kopenhagen, by night train to Amsterdam and from there directly to Gent, Belgium, three days there, then there is three or four days I don't know yet where we are, then from somewhere to Austria (night train), there a few days, 10.-13.5. I have a hostel in Ljubljana, then to Germany (there I have a friend to meet) and finally from Berlin to Stockholm by night train. I'm traveling with my 2.5-years-old child, with no previous experience of traveling in Europe. Plus a small travel budget. :D There's enough challenges to this trip I think...
So, my questions. Can I just walk to stations a little before my train leaves and take a reservation? About night trains I already got a answer in some other topic, from what there said it should be possible but to be sure I should do my reservations beforehand. So; where I do those? (I'm getting more and more ashamed as I write more, do you think I can do this trip if my knowledge is this huge :os )
About accommodations... I already have hostels to Gent and Ljubljana reserved, in German is my friend. In Kopenhagen and Austria I'd like to couchsurf. To my annoyance I cant use couchsurfing or hospitalityclub on my computer for some unknown reason. Could you suggest some other sites? In here railcc the city host -system were a bit quiet?
Aaaargh I hate all these arrangements and rules, reservations and compulsory things, why it couldnt be like in the 70's or something and I would just pack my backpack and go. :((
Maybe I'll continue later.. :os :D

hey,
the easiest way for making a reservation is to go to a office of your railway company. Otherwise you can buy some reservations online: [ux]https://rail.shop/acprail/reservation[/ux] or on the websites of the railway companies. Mostly there are alternative routes, or slower trains, where no reservations is needed. Mostly you can buy a reservation at the station. A good option might be to buy the reservation for the next train, when you arrive at the station :)
Maybe you try to use couchsurfing with another browser or with another device, like a tablet computer or a smartphone or a friends computer :) . There's just another website: www.bewelcome.org but CS is the biggest one, so your chances might be better to find a place, if you use CS.
