Hi, i'm a first time railcc and am from Ireland. Therefore the only sensible option is for me to get a flight directly to Europe to begin my trip (probably Paris or Amsterdam). I will be purchasing the 5 in 10 pass but may go earlier to stay in my first city for a few days, and could also stay a few days in my last city (estimated total time away around 14 days).
I am wondering if I should book my flight home from my last target city before I leave, and then just work my trip around getting there for my flight home.
Or alternatively, how practical is it to book a flight on the trip? E.g. If I ended up in Berlin 14 days later, how hard would it be for me to get a flight back to Belfast/Dublin?

Thanks :)

Hi.
If you want to use a plane, I recommend to book your flight back home to Ireland already before your departure. As flights are only cheap if you book in advance and not spontaneously. But I am not expert for flights... more for rail travel. ;)

Ok, thanks! Think i'd be best booking my flight home as an element of security, as this is my first time interRailing.
