We're thinking of taking a 5 in 10 pass but adding on some extra days at the beginning and the end by using flights to and from Europe from the UK.
We would mainly like to go to Italy and Croatia, especially to find some sun and maybe even a beach but also get a chance to see the main cities. We'd also ideally like to make it to Budapest and Prague. Any ideas, tips or variations?
Thanks so much!

Hi.
Mmmh... concerning your route, it depends on where you fly to and from where you fly back to the UK.
And 5 travel days isn't a lot.
One day in Italy, then ferry to Croatia (https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/italy/it - Split for example), Zagreb, Budapest and finally Prague.
An other option would be Italy, Lake Bled (https://rail.cc/en/bled/c , Slovenia), Zagreb, Budapest, Prague.
Have a look as well on the schedules where you will find connections: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
And if you like to support railcc, buy your official Interrail pass via our partner link [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you! :)

Hi!
Well, have you been looking for possible flights to/from mainland Europe yet? I am not quite sure but from reading on the forum I have the impression that there are quite a few rather cheap flights from the UK to Croatia. So you could get a flight to Italy and return from Croatia, using your IR pass for a route like:
Rome - Florence - short stop in Vienna - Prague - Budapest - Split
Of course depending on your actual flights.
