Hey,

Wondering if anyone know if it’s easy to find accommodation if we are under 18?
Thinking about going to southern Europe; Spain, France, Italy etc.

hi,
search for hostels on [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux] and ask the hostels you have chosen. That might be the easiest way. Maybe you need a written persmission of your parents, but it depends on the hostels.

Thanks! But how can I send them an E-mail. For example here: Itaca Hostel Barcelona (https://rail.cc/en/barcelona/itaca-hostel/l3592)

mostly you get the contact details after booking, but thats not the way how it should work ;D especially for you. So google the name of the hostel. Usually they have a own website, where they provide contact information:
www.itacahostel.com
www.facebook.com/itacahostel
pilimili@itacahostel.com

I found contactinformation and sent them an E-mail. It had been nice to take a flight down to Spain and take the train back to Norway :)

hi!!
I did an InterRail when I was 17 and there was no problem ever... I think if you're going with someone that is 18 or over, there will be no problem at all!

Hi

@martamartins

I'm also planning to do InterRail being 17 (you can easily find my travel route on the forum). I'm curious how much did you pay for your holidays, because i'm planning to spend 15EUR/day on accomodation and food in western Europe, which is simply crazy. I will have a tent and 22 days for 6100km.
