I am trying to plan an interrail trip for the first time, with my boyfreind this summer.
I am looking for some good locations, worth to see.
We like big cities, but prefer beautiful nature sights.

I thought about:

Denmark - France (Paris) - Spain (Andorra, Barcelona) - Italy (Rome, Milan, Torino, Toscana, but not really sure) -
Austria (Not really sure what city to choose) - Denmark

or perhaps:

Denmark - Austria (?) - Croatia (Plitvice) - Italy (?) - France (Paris) - Denmark.

I really hope to see some beautiful places of nature,
so if any of you would like to share some experiences, we would really appreciate it :)

We are willing to spend some more money on were to stay, instead of the hostels,
because of the safety.
Do any of you have any places to recommend or any suggestions, yet not too expensive?

Hi,
maybe you find a good mix of cities and places with a great landscape. How many days are you going to travel?

Maybe you choose the night train to Amsterdam: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/copenhagen-amsterdam-cnl-40473/13
From there you can go to Paris: https://rail.cc/en/train/amsterdam-to-paris avoid the expensive Thalys and maybe use a TGV from Lille to get to Paris.
From Paris you can go to Barcelona. Get the night train to the spanish boarder and enter the Petit Train Jaune More information about that journey you'll find here: https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/
From Barcelona you can go to Nice or another city at cotĂȘ d'azur.
From Nice you can visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site Cinque Terre: https://rail.cc/blog/cinque-terre/ before you go to Rome.
Maybe have a stop in Tuscany. Great cities are Firenze and Siena. The landscape around Siena might be great, too.
Personally I think Milano is just a stop for one day or maybe you can leave it. It depends on you. I rather recommend Lago di Como, maybe Bellagio.
From Lago die Como you can cross the Alps to Switzerland. It's definitely worth it: https://rail.cc/en/train/milan-to-zurich
You can either stay in Zurich, continue to Basel, where you can get a night train to Denmark (https://rail.cc/en/night-train/basel-copenhagen-cnl-472/26 ) or take night train from Zurich to Vienna: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/zurich-vienna-en-467/63
From Vienna you can go back to Denmark via Berlin or Hamburg.
