Istanbul - Sofia - Beograd - Zagreb - Ljubljuana - Budapest - Wien - Praha - Munchen - Venezia

So this is our proposed interrailing route - we were wondering whether its too ambitious or thoughts in general? We were going for the 10 days travel in 21 days, and therefore wanted to get the most out of our money and see as much of Europe as we can!

Any thoughts would be much appreciated - we are all first time interrailers!

Thanks

Hej,

your route already looks quite fine, I'd just switch the order of the cities at one point:

Ljubljana - Wien - Budapest - Praha - München or Ljubljana - Budapest - Prague - Wien - München

That way you could use the Budapest - Praha night train :arr: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/budapest-prague-en-476-524/218
What you could also do is to take the night train to Berlin and get off at Dresden, visit the city and return to Praha in the evening :arr: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/budapest-berlin-en-476/54
From Ljubljana to Budapest there is just one train at the moment running via Zagreb so you'd travel backwards a bit...

From Munich I think the best option would be a CNL to Italy (Milano, Roma or Venezia). To get the most out of your ticket I would recommend to take the train to Roma, then either get off at Firenze or at Roma, visit the city and travel to Venezia in the evening.
