Hello Raidudes,
I'm going on an Interrail trip soon, and we have planned to go from Irun to Lisbon (Santa Apolonia), we tried to make a reservation on railcc's website, but it seems like the only reservation we can make on March 28th, is 113€.
Is that really the price just for the reservation? :o
Hope someone can help here.

Hi!
The standard reservation prices when bought at a railway station are here:
:arr: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/irun-lisbon-th-313/73
In the online shop prices can be different due to handling fees etc...I always recommend to get reservations at a station.
Anyway, I just checked on RENFE website and it seems that the train is already fully booked in 2nd class on that date (the 113€ would be for a 1st class compartment). For the following day there are still seats and 4bed sleepers available.

Hi Flo,
Thank you for the answer! Can you tell where you check if the train is fully booked?

On RENFE website - just check the Irun - Lisboa connection for your travel date, you can do this on the homepage renfe.com :)

Humm, yeah... :| What is your overall route? Maybe you can rearrange a bit, although it is not easy to get into Portugal. ;)

It could maybe be due to the Easter holiday. :D
Our route right now is Bruxelles - Paris - Lisbon - Porto - Madrid - Barcelona - Monaco - Rome - Zürich - Vienna - Prague. :D

Yeah that could well be...didnt thought of that. :|
What kind of pass do you have?
You might go Paris - Irun - Madrid instead; stay in Madrid, then either go Madrid - Porto - Lisbon - Madrid - Barcelona or Madrid - Lisbon - Porto - Madrid - Barcelona.
From Madrid to Porto either with the night train to Lisbon and change there to Porto (early in the morning) or with night train in direction of Vigo and change in Redondela to Porto. All of this also works in the other direction.

Alright, than you should be alright. :)
Another solution would be to travel Irun - Vigo during the day, however this would require staying at Irun (or San Sebastian) and Vigo overnight before you could travel to Porto. :|
