we are planning on travelling for 3 weeks and then spending the final week taking it way on the beach. what place would ye recommend to visit and how long to spend in each.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I highly doubt if an INterrail (thats where this site has been set up for) is worthwhile for it.
How big is this group?
ADJUST plans: I count 12 places with some considerable distance in between and many in GR/TR currently NOT on the trains. Thats more living/camping out in nighttrains/buses as enjoying. Perhaps you can even leave that ''capital collecting'' behind-its so ''I know geografy from primary school!'' and uhh.
Perhaps best to go str8 from Bpest toward Beograd/Sjevo and skip the in betweens. Or fly- but RYAN does not go there- thats WIZZair for east Europe. Skip WAW- there is not really that much to see except 1 street of reconstructed old-style houses and some Stalin-style skyscraper.

Hi.
So you fly to Prague or how do you get there?
It might be good to travel the first part by Interrail and at the end from Athens to Croatia without. Or think about the Balcan Flexi Pass or, ...

thanks for getting back to me guys :)
Ye we are going to fly into prague. We thought about our route again and thought it would be a lot to cover in such a shortspace of time so we have change our route to Prague 4days, Krakow 4days, Budapest: 4days, Vienna 3 days, Bled/ljubijana 5 days, Zagreb 3 days, paj islands: 7days, Split: 3days, Dubrivnick 3 days.
Do you think this is more managable? Are we spending to long/little in certain places.
Once again thanks for your help :)

Hi!
Well...this seems quite reasonable, however the only IR pass that makes sense for you is the 5in10 Global Pass now with which you should cover all trips until Zagreb...of course this only would work if you'd rearrange your trip so that you make it from Prague within ten days to Zagreb via Krakow - night train to Budapest - Vienna - Ljubljana...in fact it might make more sense to travel to Zagreb first from Vienna, just spend one or two days there, then go to Ljubljana on the last day of validitiy of your pass.
The rest of the trip: Lake Bled - Rijeka (from there by bus/boat to Pag) - Zadar - Split - Dubrovnik by regular tickets bought on the spot. You might add a trip to Mostar while you are in the area and maybe also to Montenegro...
