I have 24 days (mid May though June). My flight is already booked flying into Berlin and out of Bucharest. I would like to take night trains mostly, except for Berlin to Prague. I will also visit Brasov from Bucharest.

Any advice on what passes I should buy or what portions I should buy point to point? How is the night train to Belgrade from Budapest and to Bucharest from Belgrade?

Thank you.

there is NO More a NT BGrad-Bucur. Only a very cumbersome many changes link now.
NT BPest-BG is like about any train over there- a few seat cars and the odd sleeper/couchette. Expect delays into BG.

Yeah it looks like the BG to Bucharest route goes through Sofia and takes an extra day. I would love to see Sofia but I think that city warrants more than a few hours. Maybe next time.

For now I think I will just do a round trip from Budapest to Belgrade and spend an extra day in Budapest before I go to Romania.

Thanks.

Hi!

I think you might be better off with regular tickets:
Amsterdam - Berlin and Berlin - Prague can be booked at [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
Prague - Krakow at rail.shop/cd
Krakow - Budapest is not possible to get online...this might be problematic and you should compare prices what comes cheaper for you (Eurail or single tickets).
Budapest - Belgrade I recommend to get the Beograd Special at the station in Budapest for just EUR 15. Read here for details and photos: https://rail.cc/blog/budapest-belgrade-train/
