Hi there!
My route includes a route from Zagreb to Venice. The best option for me would be to take the train from Zagreb to Villach and take the IntercityBus from there to Venice.
For Interrail- ticket owners you just have to pay 9 € for the bus. But you have to reserve. When I go on the website rail.shop/oebb to make the reservation there is no option to get the interrail discount and it shows me the ticket is 25€. Does anyone have any experience with it and could help me?
Thanks in advance
Peter

Hi.
There is a much better connection... and it is even for free! :)
Save your money and travel Zagreb - Ljubljana - Gorizia - Venice.
Have a look here for details: https://rail.cc/blog/travel-lake-bled-train/
You could even stop at the scenic Lake Bled area: https://rail.cc/en/bled/c
Schedule:
Zagreb - Ljubljana: https://rail.cc/en/train/zagreb-to-ljubljana
Ljubljana - Venice: https://rail.cc/en/train/ljubljana-to-venice
Note: there are often much more connections available than shown by stupid electronic computer schedules. Always have a look at the handcrafted railcc ones. :)
Please support railcc:
- buy your rail passes and tickets here on the recommended website: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
- add locations of your home-town (bars, nice places, ...)
Thank you! :)
Peter :)

Hi,
in case you want to go with the IC Bus, you need to get the reservation (9€) in advance at a ticket counter. It is not possible to get it online at ÖBB website.
