Is it best to book direct or via Hostelworld, Booking etc?

How have people pre-booked in the past?

Hi.
If you want to support the railcc project, book via these links. For you the price is the same, but railcc gets a little commission to keep the servers running. Thank you. :)

i often pre-book the hostels where I already know the exact dates of arriving. For example at the beginning of my trip or at the end. During the Interrail tour I often book one night in advance. Most hostels offer free Internet access so you can just book the day before arriving in the next city.
I recommend hostels with kitchen as you can save a lot of money on making your own food. :)
