Hey,

My friends and I are looking for the best (and cheapest) way to get to Venice from Zagreb. We're struggling to find a way to purchase tickets from Zagreb-Llubljana-Venice. Any advice? We don't plan on buying an Interrail or Eurail pass for our trip.

Hi, unfortunately there are no train connections between Slovenia and Italy, the best way to reach Venice is this:
-train from Zagreb to Lubljana
-train from Lubljana to Sezana
-from Sezana you can either take a taxi to Villa Opicina (5 km) and then the tramway to Trieste, or take the bus to Trieste; I suggest the first option because there are few buses Sezana-Trieste
-train Trieste-Venezia.
I suggest you check the timetables of the connections Ljubljana-Sezana and Sezana-Trieste because they're not so frequent...
