Hello,
I m curious to know if bikes are allowed on trains. It depends on the country, the company's policy or there is a european agreement on this?
Secondly, if it is allowed, is the bike transportation included in the interail ticket?
Thank you. :D

no, there is no rule at all in general, as you say it varies in some cases it may even be free (mostly only very local lines which noone here ever asks about). Often also in non-peak times. many long-dist trains and about ANY hi-speed train does not allow bikes though. it is often a real puzzle for dedicated bikers (I know, as I search for details for a local traveller/biker organisation).
On the travelplanner of [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] you can often see if that train allows bikes (but not if it is free or not)-but they depend on what other countries feed in the system (there is no magic lilliputter hammering it all together) so if MAV or CFR does not even know of it-how can they know?
