Me and my friend plan to go interrailing with a one-country pass right at the end of summer - from mid- to late- september until early october.

I know that with a global pass, for around 2 weeks, (western europe) you can expect to pay around £1000 altogether for the whole trip.

If you stay in one country, how much can you realistically expect to pay?

We're not sure of the details yet, but lets say we choose Spain, for 2 weeks. How much OVERALL would we pay?

Thanks for any advice :)

Hi.
There is no general answer possible.
It always depends on the person, if you prefer to stay in 10-bed-dorms in a hostel or in single-bed-rooms in 5* hostel.
If you drink every evening 5 liters of beer or only one bottle of water. If you prefer chilling at the beach for free or if you need five night clubs to have fun ... if you prefer McDon**** fast food or if you prefer cheaper and more healthy food made in the kitchen of a hostel by yourself... and so on.
Use the calculator for an overview: https://rail.cc/en/overall-costs
Make your personal calculation for one day and multiply it with the number of your travel days.
Most money you will save on accommodation and food.
Eastern Europe is definitely cheaper then Western Europe.
And the only difference between staying in ONE country vs traveling in several countries is the price of the rail pass.
By the way: Spain and France are not very Interrailer friendly countries due to the reservations you have to pay for their high-speed trains...

Thank you! :)
