Hej,

full fare 2nd class, one-way: 94€
full fare 2nd class, return (tourist ticket): 57€ (thus 104€ for the return)
special fare 2nd class, one way (sparnight): 39€

In addition you need an extra reservation for couchette/sleeper, prices can be found here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/munich-rijeka-en499-b481/275

Hi Flo,

Thank you :)
Can you explain how I can find these prices on the db site ? or am I asking to much.
I am trying to find the cheap but also (for us) best connection between deventer (niederlande) and Rijeka.
I can not find a europa spezial to rijeka. but I can find europa spezial tickets to munich, ljubjana, and zagreb.
Now I am thinking that it would be nice to arrive in rijeka in the morning, but I could not find any prices for this train. What is is sparnight? Can I book that too? and how can I find it ?

I am sorry for all these questions, and hope you can help me to find it myself :|

thanks yvonne

Hej Yvonne,

the prices are in a document of Deutsche Bahn. ;)
Unfortunately it is not possible to book all kinds of tickets online at [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux] ; in this case I think it would be best to phone up Deutsche Bahn for the tickets.

Sparnight is a special price which is suject to a quota and has to be bought at least three days in advance.

The best thing to do for you is probably to get a Europa Spezial to Munich, then the Sparpreis plus reservation to Rijeka. Depending on the route you might also consider a 5in10 Global IR pass, but you are probably better off with the regular tickets.

thank you again :!:

We are travelling in the summer, so I have some time left to book the tickets (are sparnight tickets also bookable 3 months in advance ?)
We are travelling to istrie and its islands. So I think it is cheaper with regular tickets.

I will phone the dbahn for information about the sparnight tickets, thank you again for your help.

OK, in that case I would recommend to book both tickets (Deventer - München and München - Rijeka) at once via DB call center - that way, we dont get a comission but it is better for you if both tickets are bought as once since you will have better ways of compensation in case you'd miss the connection in München. :)

Booking should open 91 days in advance for this train.
