ROME - VENICE - MILAN - MUNICH - VIENNA - PRAGUE - BERLIN - AMSTERDAM - BRUGES OR BRUSSELS - PARIS - BARCELONA
Hi, i am new to travelling by train in Europe so any help would be much appreciated i was planning to travel for 21 days. Does the route i have planned look possible in 3 weeks or would i need to remove some places? i only want to spend a couple of days in each place?
Rome (3 days)- plan to fly to Rome and spend 3 days then catch a day train to Venice
Venice (1 or 2 days)- Heard its expensive so am i better only spending a day here or go for 2?
Then travel by a day train to Milan
Milan (2 days)- Travel by night train to Munich
Munich (2 days)- Travel by day train to Vienna
Vienna ( 2 days)- Travel by day train to Prague

Prague ( 2 days)- Travel by day train Berlin
Berlin (2 days)- Travel by day train to Amsterdam
Amsterdam( 2 days)- Travel by day to train to either or
Bruges or Brussels( 2days) Travel by day train to Paris

Paris( 2 days)- not sure whether its better to travel by a day or night train to Barcelona from Paris
Barcelona - fly back home.
I checked all these routes and i am sure they all have services running?
Would i need the everyday in 22 days pass or 10 days in 22 day pass? i Would think it would be the 2nd but again any advice would be great.
Many thanks Jamie.

Hi Jamie.
Looks good your route. If you want to save money (Interrail Global 10 in 22), think about skipping one place. If you want to see more add some places (22 days continuous)...
For example:
Milan - Munich via Zurich using this free route: https://rail.cc/en/train/milan-to-zurich
Vienna - BUDAPEST (definitely worth!) - Prague
Paris - Barcelona: by the Little Yellow Train - https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/
and

Please support railcc:
- buy your rail passes and tickets here on the recommended website: [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
- add locations of your home-town (bars, nice places, ...)
Thank you! :)
Peter :)

Does Paris to Barcelona use up 2 travel days?
Also to reserve a seat do you just go to the rsil station the day before and reserve a seat or can you do it on the day? Been looking through other posts and still don't understand
Any help again would be great

Hi.
Paris to Barcelona is ONE travel day as your night train leaves after 19:00h in the evening. Just fill in the date of the next day in your rail pass and enter the night train. On the next morning, you can use the Little Yellow Train and others ... even continue to Madrid if you like - and it is only ONE of your travel days. :)
See the rule here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train
Booking of night trains: it always depends on the date and on the route... in peak season end of June to the beginning of September, it is recommended to book some days earlier on this route.
Yes, you get it at railway stations - also in other countries - for example Berlin main station is a good place to book it:
