Hey!! We're 6 or maybe 7 people interrailing on the first time! We're using a flexible pass of 10 days. We're interrailing during Holy Week (March 22 - April 4). Do you know if there are a lot of people interrailing on those days?? Or we'll be alone?? Well, anyway, the dates can't be changed because of jobs, studies and so on, but I just want to know what we're gonna find ;)

So, we're flying from Madrid to Paris on March 22nd at evening and the plan is:
23rd Visit Paris
24th Visit Versailles and travel to Brussels at evening
25th Visit Brussels
26th Travel to Bruges in the morning, visit Bruges, and travel to Amsterdam at evening
27th Visit Amsterdam
28th Visit Amsterdam and travel to Copenhagen in the night train that departs at 19:01.
29th Visit Copenhagen
30th Visit Copenhagen and travel to Berlin in the afternoon.
31st Visit Berlin
1st Travel to Dresden by car, bus or train (paying it) and take there the night train to Budapest (we have to do that because of the 7 PM rule :((
2nd and 3rd Visit Budapest
4th Fly to Madrid!

I think it's a little bit stressful but it's the only way I see to use the 5 days of travel within the 10 days...
How do you see it?! Any recommendation?

Thanks!

Hej,

looks like I nice short trip. :)
I was thinking about your problems with the one travel day missing and I'm thinking about whether it would be the best option of booking the Paris - Bruxelles trip separately.

The best in terms of travel time connection between the cities is the Thalys that only takes ~1h15min but would require a very high reservation with IR.
The alternative connections which are cheaper for IR travellers require much more travel time...since you are on a rather tight schedule it might be a good idea to book a cheap advance fare ticket for Thalys ([ux]https://rail.shop/beurope[/ux]) and use the travel day for the Berlin - Budapest leg instead.
In fact, you could even consider going Berlin - Vienna and go to Budapest in the evening after a day trip in Vienna.

Paris - Bruxelles connections: :arr: https://rail.cc/en/train/paris-to-brussels

Ola. Semana santa is a tipical Espanol thing-unknown out side. We in NL do not even have holiday then. As easter is very early this year-expect that it may still even snow or be quite cold. Easter is 1 of the very most busy weekends in AMS anyway all years.
I suggest you re-arrange a little bit to avoid the very expesnive Hi-speed Thalys:
do Paris-TGV-LILLE-change-Kortrijk-Brugge (all ev hour)-see BR (or maybe Gent-less known, just as nice and more lively)-BRU
Later BRU-AMS-currently times are in a state of disorder-as the FYRA hi-speed trains are taken off rails. Maybe you can do a sidetrip via Maastricht (BRU-LIege-Maastr-Ams)-again trains at least ev hour-total time 4,5-5 hrs.
OR: for just a daytrip in BE you can prebook online the YOUTH GO-pass1 on b-rail.be= 6 eur single-to avoid a passday.
OR you book a bus Paris-BRU in stead of train=-megabus, IDbus or eurolines-from 1 eur/single (but these are sold out for those times)
You can do BER-DD with group of 5 with the Quer durch land ticket-valid on LOCAL=Regional trains only, 44 eur.
Do, DO NOW reserve seats on the CNL Ams-KBH- it will be a very, very busy day. This train has just 1 car with seats-and less, as it also has bycycleracks etc and luggage area.

Thank you both very much!! I like a lot flow's idea. We would've to pay €50 for the Thalys but we would spend more time in Paris and I like too the idea of visiting Vienna.
I'm conscious that the dates aren't the best ones. We'll go prepared for the cold.
In the night train Amsterdam-Copenhagen, we'll reserve seats, not couchettes. We haven't bought yet the Interrail pass so I suppose we can't reserve until we buy it, isn't it? We'll hurry...
For Bruges-Amsterdam I have investigated a little and I think the best option is Bruges-Antwerp and there take the Fyra for only €4, don't you think?
I think TGV Paris-Lille is expensive even with Interrail, isn't it? I think it was €10 or €12 :|

Hi.

Amsterdam - Copenhagen: if you want to buy the Interrail reservation online, either departure or arrival station has to be in Germany (as the night train is a German one).
So I recommend to buy a reservation for Amsterdam to Flensburg (last station in Germany before going to Denmark) and just tell the train staff that you want to stay in the train until Copenhagen - but due to the online booking system you only purchased until Flensburg. Shouldn't be a problem as the price is the same for the reservation. And in Denmark, no new passengers will enter the train.
Make the booking like mentioned here (scroll down):
https://rail.cc/en/night-train/amsterdam-copenhagen-cnl-40457/10

You can buy the reservation even before you have your Interrail pass in your hands. If you like railcc and want to support all these answers and information, order your official Interrail pass in our partner. Thank you. :)

Brugges - Amsterdam: use free trains like mentioned here and save your money - https://rail.cc/en/train/bruges-to-amsterdam

Online prices are currently unavailable for the selected route. We apologize for any inconvenience. I hope that doesn't mean all seats are already reserved :'(

No. There are free seats on the 28th March available!
Just do it step by step like mentioned here bellow the map:
https://rail.cc/en/night-train/amsterdam-copenhagen-cnl-40457/10
Use the green link button to [ux]https://rail.shop/bahn[/ux]
And book for Amsterdam to FLENSBURG, not to Copenhagen (see information above).

Hello again! Do you think I should reserve the connection Copenhagen 15:44-Berlin 23:12 via Hamburg for Saturday March 30th (https://rail.cc/en/train/copenhagen-to-berlin)? I don't know if those two trains will be busy or not. Thanks a lot!!
